We may need to use and retain personal data for legal and compliance reasons, such as the prevention, detection or investigation of a crime, loss prevention, fraud or any other abuse of our services and IT systems.
2. Minors' Data
It is not our Company’s policy to seek or receive personal data from minors (i.e. persons who have not reached the age of 18), either directly or indirectly through third parties.
However, since it is impossible always to verify the age of the persons who enter or use our website, parents and guardians of minors are advised to contact the Company immediately if they become aware of any unauthorized disclosure of data by the minors for whom they are responsible, in order to exercise the rights granted to them accordingly, e.g. for the erasure of their data.
3. IP Addresses
Every computer connected to the internet is assigned a unique number known as an internet protocol (IP) address. It allows computers and network servers to recognize and communicate with each other. The IP addresses from which visitors appear to originate may be recorded for IT security and system diagnostic purposes. This data may also be used in aggregate form to analyze trends and the performance of the website.
4. Website Traffic Monitoring (Google Analytics)
Like most websites, this one uses Google Analytics (GA) to track user activity. As long as your email address remains in Brevo’s database, you will receive periodic informational messages. For more information, please consult the Brevo privacy policy.
7. About Cookies
Our Company may use cookies as part of facilitating and operating its services through its website. Cookies are small files (text files) that are sent to and stored on the user’s computer, allowing websites such as etherlogic.gr to function smoothly and without technical problems, to collect multiple user choices, to recognize frequent users and to facilitate their access to it. Cookies do not cause damage to users’ computers or to the files stored on them.
The main types of cookies that websites may use are described below:
These are temporary cookies that remain in the cookie file of your device’s browser only for the duration of your visit and are deleted when you close the browser.
These remain in the cookie file of your device’s browser even after the browser is closed, sometimes for a year or more (the exact period depends on the lifetime of each cookie). Persistent cookies are used when the website operator may need to know who you are for more than one visit (e.g. to remember your username or your preferences for customizing the website).
These are cookies installed in the browser and/or on the hard drive of your device by the website you are visiting. This includes assigning you a unique identifier in order to track your navigation on the website. Website operators often use first-party cookies for visit management and for recognition purposes.
These are cookies used by third parties, such as social networks, to track your visits to the various websites on which they advertise. The website operator has no control over these third-party cookies.
Cookies on this website and how to manage them
On this website, we use cookies to improve visitors’ experience of using the website. The operation of the website will be significantly affected if you disable or do not accept the use of cookies.
Below is information about the third-party cookies we use on this website, including how to disable them and the effect that disabling them has on the operation of the website. If you would like more information on how to manage certain types of cookies, including how to control or delete them, please visit http://www.allaboutcookies.org
Google Analytics cookies
Google Analytics cookies are analytics/performance cookies that allow us to collect anonymous information about how visitors use our website. These cookies can tell us how many visitors use the website and the time and duration of access, and they also provide information about how visitors navigate the various parts of the website. This information helps us improve the way our website works. It is anonymous information and does not contain personal data.
The information collected by Google Analytics cookies about our website is transferred to and stored on Google’s servers in accordance with Google’s privacy policy. For more information about the Google Analytics service, please visit https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245. You can disable tracking by the Google Analytics service by visiting https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. If you disable these cookies, your use of the website will not be counted, nor will it be used in the statistics we collect to improve the services we provide through the website. The operation of the website will not be affected.
Cookies from video service providers (Google, Vimeo, DailyMotion, etc.)
These providers may place cookies on your device if you watch videos on our website that they provide to us as an external service. If you disable these cookies, you may not be able to view the embedded videos on our website.
Cookies from social networks
Third-party social networks may place cookies on your device if you choose to share material from our website with them by clicking one of the embedded “Share” buttons. If you disable these cookies, the “Share” function will not be available.
Google Ads Remarketing services
We use the Remarketing feature of the Google Ads service. The remarketing feature allows us to show users of our Website interest-based advertisements on other websites within the Google advertising network (in Google Search or on YouTube, the so-called “Google Ads”, or on other websites). For this purpose, users’ interaction on our Website is analyzed, e.g. which offers the user showed interest in, so that we can show targeted advertising to users on other pages even after their visit to our Website. To do this, Google stores a number in the browsers of users who visit certain Google services or websites within the Google Display Network. This number, known as a “cookie”, is used to record the visits of these users. The number is used to uniquely identify a browser on a specific device and not to identify a person. Personal data is not stored.
You can prevent participation in this tracking process in various ways: a) by adjusting your browser software accordingly, in particular by blocking third-party cookies, in which case you will not receive advertisements from third-party providers; b) by disabling the cookies for conversion tracking, by setting your browser to block cookies from the domain www.googleadservices.com, https://www.google.de/settings/ads (this setting is deleted when you delete your cookies); c) by disabling the interest-based advertisements of the providers that are part of the “About Ads” campaign via the link http://www.aboutads.info/choices (this setting is deleted when you delete your cookies); d) by permanently disabling them in your Firefox, Internet Explorer or Google Chrome browser at http://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin; e) by setting your cookie preferences accordingly. Please note that in this case you may not be able to make full use of all the features of this offer.
For more information about the purpose and scope of data collection and processing by Google, please refer to its privacy policy. There you will also find more information about your rights and the settings available to protect your privacy: https://policies.google.com/privacy. Google LLC has certified that it adheres to the principles of the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Alternatively, you will find more information on the website of the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) at http://www.networkadvertising.org.
Cookie lifetime: up to 3 months (this applies only to cookies set by this Website).
Facebook Pixel
This website also uses the “Custom Audiences” remarketing feature of Meta Platforms, Inc. (formerly Facebook Inc., hereinafter “Facebook”) in order to contact you again within 12 months. This allows users of the website to see interest-based advertisements (“Facebook ads”) when they visit Facebook or other websites that also use this tool.
Your browser automatically establishes a direct connection to the Facebook server. We have no influence over the extent and further use of the data collected by Facebook through the use of this tool, and we therefore inform you according to what we know: by integrating Facebook Custom Audiences, Facebook receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding part of our online presence or that you have clicked on one of our advertisements. If you are registered with a Facebook service, Facebook can associate your visit with your account. Even if you are not registered with Facebook or are not logged in, the provider may obtain and store your IP address and other identifying information.
We use the Facebook Pixel code in order to provide personalized content when visitors to our website browse Facebook. Example: if you browse our website, you may later see on Facebook an advertisement for one of our company’s articles.
8. About the server of this website
